On the first day of the fourth phase of the blockade called by BNP, the Dhaka University (DU) branch student group blocked the road in the campus and held a protest march. They marched under the leadership of Branch Chhatra Dal President Khorshed Alam Sohel and General Secretary Ariful Islam at Kataban Dhal area on Sunday morning.
Besides, the organizing secretary of Dhaka University Chhatra Dal, Masudur Rahman Masud, joint secretary Md. Tariqul Islam Tariq, Ganesh Chandra Roy, Aminul Islam, Masum Billah (FR Hall), Nahiduzzaman Shipon, Sohail Rana, Abdul Hannan Talukder, Abdur Rahim Roni and other leaders and activists of various levels of the university student body and hall branches.
After the rally, Khorshed Alam Sohail said that this movement is aimed at realizing the voting rights of the people and building a democratic Bangladesh. We will return home after collecting the demand.
Joint-General Secretary Md. Tariqul Islam Tariq said that the country has fallen into a deep crisis today after being crushed by fascism. Dhaka University Chhatra Dal is determined to fully implement the one-party program that BNP has taken to overcome that crisis. We will continue our all-out struggle until our right to vote is established. No bloodshot can stop us. Soon democracy will win, people’s right to vote and rice will be established.
