The fourth phase of blockade program called by BNP has started all over the country with the burning of nine vehicles in ten hours from night to dawn.
Talha bin Jaseem, the officials of the Directorate of Fire Service, said that they received reports of burning seven cars in the capital, one in Gazipur and one in Barisal from Saturday night to Sunday morning 6 am.
Eight buses and a pickup van were burnt in these incidents. A passenger was burnt. 19 units and 193 personnel of fire service and civil defense worked to put out these fires.

A red-green transport bus was set on fire in front of Notre Dame College at 8:20 pm on Saturday.

A bus was burnt in front of Gabtali bus stand at 8:30 pm.

A Time Control Transport bus was torched in front of Gulistan Square at 9 pm.

An Anabil Paribahan bus was burnt at Jatrabari intersection at 9.27 pm.

At 9:33 PM, a pickup was burnt in Jugitla, Gazipur.

A Prajapati Paribahan bus was set on fire in front of Dhaka’s Kafrul police station at 9:38 pm.

A bus was burnt in front of Dhaka’s Mirpur Rupnagar Police Station at 12:00 am.

A bus of Ma Enterprise was set on fire in front of the Barisal Divisional Police Office at 3:35 am on Sunday morning.

A bus of Malanch Paribahan was burnt at Sutrapur in Old Dhaka at 6:09 am.
Bus passenger burnt
A 45-year-old passenger named Abdul Jabbar was burnt in the incident of setting fire to Anabil Paribahan bus at Jatrabari in Dhaka at night. He was admitted to Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute.
Hospital resident doctor Tariqul Islam said, Jabbar’s body has 20 percent burns.
The BNP called the hartal after the clashes surrounding the October 28 Mahasambesh to demand the fall of the government. After that, the party held a blockade program for seven days in three stages one by one. The same-minded alliances and parties with BNP are also carrying out this program to demand the next elections under the caretaker government. Their fourth phase of blockade of roads, railways and waterways began on Sunday morning and will continue till 6 am on Tuesday.
Long-distance buses are not leaving due to lack of passengers amid the blockade. However, city transport buses, autorickshaws, rickshaws and private vehicles are plying. To prevent vandalism, police were seen at every corner of the capital.
