Dhaka: The 48-hour blockade called by the BNP-Jamaat has started in the fourth phase of the simultaneous movement demanding the fall of the government.

The leaders and activists of the party will carry out this program on road, rail and sea from 6 am on Sunday (12 November) to 6 am on next Tuesday (14 November).

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced this program in a virtual press conference last Thursday (November 9) afternoon.

Apart from BNP-Jamaat, this program will also be held by other like-minded parties and alliances associated with the simultaneous movement, including Democracy Manch, 12-party alliance, nationalist like-minded alliance, LDP, People’s Forum, People’s Rights Parishad, NDM.

Incidentally, in the last two weeks, 160-hour blockade program has been observed by like-minded parties and alliances including BNP.

After the clash around BNP’s grand meeting in Nayapaltan on October 28, like-minded parties and alliances including BNP went on a strict program.

The day after that incident, they observed morning-evening hartal across the country. Then the blockade program began. The blockade program was observed for three consecutive days from October 31 in the first phase, for 48 hours from November 5 in the second phase and for 48 hours from November 8 in the third phase. In the fourth phase, the anti-government political parties will hold the same program from November 12.
