Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is coming to Khulna on November 13. He will address the public meeting at Khulna Circuit House ground at 2 pm that day. This year’s rally stage will be made in the model of boat and Padma Bridge. The work of making the stage is going on. Meanwhile, Khulna is in a festive mood around the public meeting. All over the city of Khulna, the activists have decorated the entrance gates with panna festoons.
Yesterday, Awami League central leaders SM Kamal Hossain, Bahauddin Nasim and others inspected the preparation of public meeting ground and stage.
The stage where the Prime Minister will deliver his speech is being built in the shape of a boat. Also, another small stage is being prepared next to the stage where he will sit and inaugurate various developmental works.
On site, it was seen that there is extensive security around the construction of the stage. The workers engaged in these works are going through a busy time. Meanwhile, the leaders and activists say that more than 1 million people from 21 districts will gather in this historic public meeting in Khulna Big Field.
Ajgar Biswas, a member of the public meeting stage committee and a member of the Khulna district Awami League, spoke about this. He told Dhaka Times that Khulna’s big ground is being prepared for Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s historic public meeting on the model of boat-Padma bridge stage. About 1 million people from 21 districts of our Khulna division will gather in this public meeting. Our leaders and workers are ready for everything. What do we want from the leader of the people of Khulna? He has greatly improved our Khulna without asking for anything. No government has developed Khulna so much after independence. Other governments have hindered the development of Khulna. Only the Awami League government has developed the people of Khulna.
Awami League leader and one of the stage committee members Faizul Islam Tito said that Awami League public meeting in Khulna big ground will become a sea of people. We have completed almost all activities to make this historic rally a success. Meanwhile, the local Awami League and central leaders are visiting the public meeting ground. There is also extensive intelligence surveillance with the SSF.
Shafikur Rahman Palash, former president of Khulna Chhatra League and president of Mahanagar Jubo League, said, “We are really happy that our beloved leader is coming to Khulna. People of Khulna are in a festive mood. Only our Women’s Awami League leaders and activists will be present in the public meeting ground. And male activists will stay in different places of the city. More than ten lakh people will gather in the public meeting.
He also said that our leader has made great progress for Khulna. Sheikh Hasina has done various developmental activities including Medical University, Agricultural University, Sheikh Russell Hi-Tech Park, Abu Nasser Hospital, Road. We will transform the public meeting on the 13th into a sea of people.
