Chittagong: 1st Law Career Fest-2023 program organized by Consonium for Skill Development (CSD) Club of Law Department of BGC Trust University Bangladesh, Chairman of Law Department Md. It was held under the chairmanship of Abdul Hannan.
BGC Trust University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. was the chief guest on the closing day. AFM Aurangzeb, the special guest was the adviser of the law department, Prof. ABM Abu Noman and the registrar in charge. SM Shoev.
Chittagong District and Sessions Judge Nazmul Hossain Chowdhury, Chabi Law Department Assistant Professor Syed Ahsan Khalid, UNCHR Cox’s Bazar Rohingya Refugee Response Officer Kamrul Hasan Arif were key resource persons in the seminars organized on various topics of Career Fest.
Under the direction of Sidratul Muntaha Trina, teacher of law department, the convenor of career fest, Asma Al Amin, teacher of law department, Aminul Haque Siddiqui, Md. Ridwanul Haque, Tawhidul Islam Jihadi, President of BGC Trust University Law Alumni Advocate Regan Acharya, General Secretary Advocate Shahed ul Alam Simon and others.
Law students Ibrahim Uddin Abid, Haroon Ur Rashid, Md. Shakil, Noor Aqeel Safa, AK Fahim were given merit awards.
In the speech of the chief guest, the Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. AFM Aurangzeb said, as a law student, one will not only build a career as a lawyer, but there are opportunities to build a career in various fields. Especially now there is an opportunity to build a career as a legal officer in public and private institutions, NGOs and various international organizations. Congratulations to the Law Department and all concerned for organizing this career fest on various aspects of career building. The university authorities want the passed students to develop themselves as skilled human resources and play a helpful role in fulfilling the government’s goal of becoming a smart Bangladesh and a developed Bangladesh by 2041.
Prof. ABM Abu Noman said in a special guest speech, before completing your education, you should set your goals for building your own career. But many people are not aware of the possibilities of creating new careers due to old ideas. Through this career fest, we have tried to give information about the unlimited opportunities that students who have passed out of the law department have in building a career in new fields.
