Additional Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DB) Harun Or Rashid said five more people have been arrested in connection with the violence surrounding the BNP’s mass meeting on October 28. At the same time, he said, the BNP leaders who are in remand have accepted the responsibility and expressed regret for the incident of violence that day.
He said this in a press conference at his office on Wednesday (November 8) at noon.
He said, during the clashes on October 28, we have arrested five more people in connection with the killing of policeman Amirul, attack on the judge’s residence, burning of buses in Kakrail, Ramna, Maucha. He also said that the arrested Kamruzzaman Tuku is the joint convener of the Sramik Dal. He admitted that he played an active role in attacking the police by participating in the BNP rally.
