Rabat, November 8, 2023 (Bass Desk): A total of 18 hospitals in the Gaza Strip were forced to close due to Israeli shelling and airstrikes. The Palestinian health authority told Al-Jazeera this information. News from Tas.
Al Jazeera quoted a source as saying, ‘A total of 18 hospitals, including eight state-run hospitals, have been forced to close their operations in the Gaza Strip. The situation in Gaza’s hospitals is catastrophic. Especially the condition of hospitals in the northern region is so bad that it is indescribable.’
He said, ‘Hospitals in the northern part of Gaza are facing a massive shortage of medicine, food and fuel.’
According to the latest information from Israeli officials, at least 1,400 people were killed in the deadly attacks by Hamas on a concert and several homes in Israel on October 7 from the Gaza Strip. Most of those killed in Hamas attacks were civilians. Israel blockaded Gaza and carried out massive bombings after Hamas indiscriminately shot and burned and took more than 230 people hostage in the first day of the attack.
The situation in the Middle East quickly escalated after Hamas attacked Israel from the Gaza Strip on October 7.
Meanwhile, according to the latest figures from the Hamas Health Ministry in Gaza, more than 10,300 Palestinians have lost their lives in Israeli attacks in Gaza in retaliation for Hamas attacks. More than half of them are children.
Thousands of buildings have collapsed and more than half of the population has been displaced by Israeli forces there.
