MSF aid worker killed in Gaza bombing

Jerusalem, November 8, 2023 (Bass Desk): A worker of the charity Doctors Without Borders (MSF) was killed in a bomb attack in Gaza. Several members of his family also lost their lives in the attack. The company said this on Tuesday. News from AFP.
Laboratory technician Mohammad Al-Ahle Shati was killed in a bomb attack on his home in the refugee camp, MSF said in a statement. During the bombing in that area, the house was bombed. The house collapsed.
“Today, Doctors Without Borders/Medicine Sans Frontières (MSF) mourns the death of our group member, Mohammad Al Ahel, in Gaza,” the charity said. He was killed along with several family members in a bomb attack on November 6.’
“It is clear that no place in Gaza is safe from the brutal and indiscriminate bombardment,” the statement said.
“Our repeated calls for an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Hamas have gone unanswered,” the charity said. But we insist that a ceasefire is the only way to prevent more needless deaths across Gaza and allow adequate humanitarian aid to reach the Gaza Strip.’
Claire Magon, MSF’s France director-general, told reporters on Tuesday that the people of Gaza were bleeding and rescue workers were “virtually weakened”.
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), citing figures from the Hamas-run health ministry, said 192 health workers had been killed since the start of the war between Israel and Hamas.
According to the latest information from Israeli officials, at least 1,400 people were killed in the deadly attacks by Hamas on a concert and several homes in Israel on October 7 from the Gaza Strip. Most of those killed in Hamas attacks were civilians. Israel besieged Gaza and carried out massive bombings after Hamas indiscriminately shot and burned them and took more than 230 hostages on the first day of its offensive.
According to the latest figures provided by the Hamas Health Ministry in Gaza, more than 10,300 Palestinian civilians have lost their lives in Israeli strikes in Gaza in retaliation for Hamas attacks. More than half of them are children.
Thousands of buildings have collapsed and more than half of the population has been displaced by Israeli forces there.
