The term of ambassador of Bangladesh has been extended in Switzerland, Thailand, Kuwait and Poland. A notification was issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Tuesday (November 7) appointing these ambassadors on contract after the end of their service period.
Foreign cadre officer. Abdul Hai has been appointed to the Bangkok Embassy in Thailand for six months from December 29 and Mohammad Sufiur Rahman, another officer of the foreign cadre, has been appointed as Permanent Representative to the Permanent Mission of Bangladesh to the United Nations in Geneva for six months from December 1 and Ambassador to the Geneva Embassy of Switzerland.
Similarly, foreign cadre officer Sultana Laila Hossain has been appointed to the post of Ambassador of Warsaw Embassy in Poland for six months from the date of joining on 25 December or on the condition of suspension of PRL and related benefits as well as giving up working relations with other institutions and organizations.
On the other hand, Major General Md. Ashikuzzaman has been appointed to the post of ambassador of Bangladesh in Kuwait for the next six months from November 17 on the condition of suspending PRL and other related benefits.
