The Prime Minister has returned from Saudi Arabia
Dhaka, November 8, 2023 (BSS): Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina returned home this morning from Saudi Arabia after attending the International Conference on Women in Islam and performing the holy Umrah.
A Biman Bangladesh Airlines commercial flight carrying the Prime Minister and her entourage landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in Dhaka at 7:40 am.
Earlier, the flight left Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport at 10.54pm local time.
The Prime Minister arrived at the Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah on November 5 and recited the Fateha after the Holy Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) Rawza Mubarak Ziarat and Asr prayers at Masjid Al-Nabawi in Madinah.
On the same day he left Medina and reached Makkah. There, the Prime Minister performed the holy Umrah at Al Masjid Al-Haram (Kaaba Sharif) after Isha prayers.
On November 6, the Prime Minister attended the International Conference on Women in Islam and spoke.
On the sidelines of the conference, he also met with the top officials of OIC and member countries.
Apart from attending the conference, the Prime Minister attended the inauguration of the exhibition titled ‘Women in Islam’ and a dinner organized in her honour.
Saudi Arabia organized the conference on November 6-8 in coordination with the General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
