Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has returned home from Saudi Arabia after attending the International Conference on Women and performing Umrah.
A Biman Bangladesh Airlines commercial flight carrying the Prime Minister and her entourage took off from King Abdulaziz Airport at 10pm local time on Tuesday. The flight landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) at 7:50 am on Wednesday.
Earlier in the afternoon of November 5, the Prime Minister landed at the Prince Mohammad Bin Abdul Aziz Airport in Madinah and paid the Rawza Mubarak Ziarat of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) at Masjid Nawabi. He recited Fatiha and prayed there after Asr prayer. He reached Makkah from Madinah on the same day and night. After the Isha prayer, perform the holy Umrah at Masjid al-Haram (Kaaba Sharif).
Apart from this, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina attended the ‘Women in Islam’ conference on November 6 and gave a speech. On the sidelines of this conference, he also met with the top officials of OIC and member countries. Besides attending the conference, she inaugurated the Women-in-Islam exhibition. He then attended a dinner in his honour.
Saudi Arabia jointly organized the conference with the General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on November 6-8.
