Jatiya Party Chairman and Opposition Deputy Leader GM Quader MP has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of seven lives in a road accident in Hathazari, Chittagong. In a condolence message, he wished for the forgiveness of the souls of the dead and the recovery of the injured. He also expressed his condolences to the bereaved family.
GM Quader also said in the statement that the road has become a death trap. The procession of death on the road every day cannot be accepted. It has become normal that people’s lives will go on the road every day. An inquiry committee is formed in every accident, but no one knows the inquiry report.
GM Quader said that accidents are not reducing because action is not taken against those responsible. He said, subject to investigation, exemplary punishment should be ensured against those responsible. GM Quader also demanded reasonable compensation to the families of the dead and injured. At the same time, the Jatiya Party chairman urged the concerned to ensure the necessary treatment of the injured.
