According to the information of the Divisional Health Director’s Office on Tuesday (November 7), a total of 2 people died in Bagerhat and Kushtia in the last 24 hours. At the same time, out of 357 dengue patients admitted to various government hospitals, maximum 53 were admitted to Jhenaidah government hospital. Besides, 41 people in Jessore, 33 people in Khulna Medical College Hospital, 33 people in Narail, 35 people in Magura, 33 people in Meherpur, 19 people in Bagerhat, 13 people in Chuadanga, 39 people in other hospitals in Khulna, 44 people in Kushtia, 7 people in Satkhira and Satkhira Medical College. 7 people have been admitted to the hospital.
According to the information of the Divisional Health Directorate, 102 dengue patients have died in Khulna Division this year. Out of which 34 died while undergoing treatment in Khulna Medical College Hospital, 16 in Jessore, 19 in Kushtia, 8 in Satkhira Medical College Hospital, 9 in Jhenaidah, 2 in other hospitals of Khulna district, 6 in Magura, 5 in Narail, 1 in Satkhira and 2 in Bagerhat.
According to this source, 27 thousand 549 dengue patients have been admitted in the hospitals of Khulna division since January 1 of this year. And 26 thousand 45 people have returned home after recovery. 1 thousand 59 patients are under treatment in the hospitals of the department. And 343 people have been referred.
Khulna Divisional Health Director Dr. Md. Manjurul Murshid said that dengue incidence is higher in Khlun this year than last year. This time the number of infected and dead is much higher. Several times more patients died in the department than last year. Not only from Dhaka, this time people are getting dengue from Khulna as well. He advised people to be aware about dengue.
