Dhaka: Shahjalal Montu (60), who was undergoing treatment, died after being hit by a bus that lost control in Wireless Gate area of Moghbazar in the capital.
He died at Dhaka Medical College (Dhamek) Hospital around 7 am on Tuesday (November 7).
Two people died in that accident.
Shahjalal’s house is in Moulvirchar village of Charbhadrasan upazila of Faridpur. He lived in Kakrail of the capital and was in the business of packaging, said his neighbor Manjurul Haque.
Last Monday (November 6) around 5:30 pm, the Manjil Paribahan bus lost control and rammed several vehicles including a rickshaw, a vegetable van, on the road adjacent to Wireless Gate.
Deputy Inspector (SI) of Ramna Police Station. Saidul Haque said that some people were injured in the accident. Among them, two were taken to DMK Hospital in critical condition, and the doctor declared Aynal Howladar (40) as dead. Shahjalal Montu also died today while undergoing treatment.
He also said that the bus of Manzil Paribahan was coming down from Moghbazar flyover and was going towards Mouchak. The bus has been impounded. But the driver and helper escaped.
