Two policemen were blocked for 3 hours
Nurul’s relatives and neighbors said that after the police left Nurul, the two accused policemen heard the news of Nurul’s death and came to the spot. At that time angry relatives and neighbors blocked them in a room. After being blocked for about three hours, Narayanganj Additional Superintendent of Police (K-Zone) Sheikh Billal Hossain and Sonargaon Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahabub Alam went to the spot and rescued the two policemen.
Everything changed after the MP left
According to relatives and local residents, when the news of Nurul Islam’s death due to police beating spread, the people of the area and the relatives of the deceased gathered at Nurul’s house. They turned violent on the police. Narayanganj-3 Constituency Member of Parliament Liakat Hossain went to the spot around eight o’clock. The MP held a closed-door meeting with family members.
At the end of the meeting, the member of parliament told the people present that Nurul’s family has no complaint about the death. Nurul’s body will be buried without an autopsy. From now on he took the responsibility of Nurul’s family. Angry relatives and neighbors left Nurul’s house after these words of the MP. Nurul’s relatives said that everything changed after the MP’s words. They did not dare to complain about the incident. Even decided to bury without autopsy. However, the statement of the member of parliament was not received in this regard. A call to the three mobile numbers used by him found that all of them were disconnected.
