Due to its proximity to the Himalayas, winter always comes early in Tentulia in the northern district of Panchagarh. Due to the arrival of winter this year in the beginning of Ashin due to the frosty winds of the north, the entire Tentulia upazila is covered in fog every night and morning. Vehicles are moving on the road with their headlights on.
In the morning, the roads are covered with light fog. Dewdrops are falling on leaves and grass. The farmer rushed to the green paddy field after breaking the dew. The dew on the grass glistens in the sunlight.
The people of this area have started preparing for the arrival of winter. The warm clothes kept in sacks started coming out. In the evening, there is a tea party in the field. Many people consider this time of winter as a great time to enjoy. However, during the day, the exact opposite of winter is happening in this upazila.
According to meteorologists, during the latter part of Ashwin month, as the monsoon is less active and the northerly winds have some influence, the last night feels colder when the winter sets in. Especially when the monsoon will no longer be active over Bangladesh, there will be a mild winter. And the mood of winter in the north is more pronounced than other parts of the country. Its dimensions and feel are different.
Panchagarh Tantulia Meteorological Monitoring Center Officer-in-Charge Md. Rashel Shah said that the minimum temperature was 16.4 degrees Celsius on Tuesday (November 7) morning. The temperature of 17.8 degrees Celsius was recorded yesterday.
He also said that for the past few days it has been foggy at night and in the morning and winter has just started. It will get colder as the day goes on. Temperatures will begin to drop with winter.
