In Bangladesh, 2357 people have been admitted to hospital due to dengue in the last one day, the number of admitted patients has increased to 1 lakh 99 thousand 188. 9 people have died in the last one day due to the AIDS mosquito-borne disease.

Directorate of Health said that 671 patients were admitted in Dhaka and 1686 were admitted to different hospitals outside Dhaka in the last one day.

At present, the number of patients admitted to various hospitals across the country is 9 thousand 797. Among them 3457 in Dhaka and 6340 in different hospitals outside Dhaka.

Last January, 566 people were admitted to hospital due to dengue. Its number was 166 people in February, 111 people in March, 143 people in April, 1 thousand 36 people in May, 5 thousand 956 people in June. In July it increased to 43 thousand 876 people. The number of patients admitted in September is 75 thousand 380 so far.

6 people died of dengue in Bangladesh in January. Besides, 3 people died in February, no one died in March, 2 people died in April, 2 people died in May, 34 people died in June, 204 people died in July and 342 people died in August. 374 people died of dengue in 28 days of September.

In 2022, 62 thousand 382 patients were admitted to hospital due to dengue disease. 281 people died at that time. Earlier in 2019, more than one lakh people went to hospital due to dengue in 64 districts of the country, which was the highest admission in a year before. Officially, 179 people died that year.
