Awami League President Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will sit in a separate office to conduct political activities in the upcoming 12th National Assembly elections. He will use the permanent office of Dhaka District Awami League in Tejgaon.

The preparation of the new office for party president Sheikh Hasina to manage Awami League’s political activities during the elections is almost complete. After the announcement of details, he will use this new office for all party meetings, series of meetings to finalize nominations and even join virtually for any work from the new office.

The party leaders said that the Prime Minister will work from the new office with modern facilities till the election day to avoid any kind of controversy during the election. For this reason, the office has a private room for the Prime Minister, an air-conditioned room for meetings with leaders, and a large hall to hold meetings with at least five hundred leaders and workers. Apart from the Prime Minister, the election management committee of Awami League will also conduct all the activities of the party during the election from this office.

General Secretary of Dhaka District Awami League Paniruzzaman told Tarun Kalbela that after the announcement of details, the work of preparing the room for the sitting of the party president has been completed. Apart from this, the ancillary works of the building will be completed before next week. In this case, we have to keep the security issue in mind.

Former Chairman of Bangladesh Public Works Commission Mohammad Sadiq and former Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister Kamal Abdul Nasser Chowdhury were with him at that time.

On site inspection of the office of the party chief, it can be seen that the work of installing air conditioners in various rooms is going on. Construction of boundary wall and rooms for security guards is going on all around.

During the previous national elections also, the Prime Minister conducted activities from Dhanmondi.
