Chittagong Medical College (CHMEC) Morgue (Forensic Department) got hit on the head during a fight between two employees. An employee named Ilyas died. He died on Monday afternoon while undergoing treatment in Ward No. 28 of Chamek Hospital.
Panchlaish Thana Police arrested the accused employee named Sameeran Kanti Nath in this incident.
Deceased Ilyas and arrested Sameeran Chamek were working as office assistants in the morgue. It is said that the process of filing a case is going on in this incident. The house of deceased Elias is in Manikchari upazila of Khagrachari.
Police and Chamec officials said that Ilyas and Sameeran had a good relationship. On Sunday night in front of Chamek Morgue, two people had an argument about a matter. At one point Sameeran pushed his colleague Ilyas. When Ilyas fell to the ground, he suffered a serious head injury. He was rescued and admitted to Chamek Hospital. An operation was performed on his head there at night.
Elias died on Monday afternoon in Ward No. 28 of Chamek Hospital. Later Panchlaish Thana Police arrested Sameeran from Chamek Hospital area.
Panchlaish police station OC Santosh Kumar Chakma told Jugantar that an employee of Kendra Chamek died due to a trivial incident. One person has been arrested in this incident. Preparations are underway to file a case.
