Chasing the target of 280 runs, Bangladesh lost wickets at the beginning of the innings. The young opener Tanjid Hasan Tamim returned with a catch while chasing the boundary for the team’s 17 runs in 2.1 overs. He returned for 9 runs off 5 balls.

A great yorker by Sri Lankan star pacer Madushanka hit Liton’s boots in the team’s 41 runs. Umpire Marai did not take long to give Erasmus out. Liton Das refrained from taking a review after talking to Nazmul Hossain Shanta who was standing on non-strike. Liton returned to 23 runs off 22 balls with two fours and two sixes.
