Detained accused Sameeran
Chittagong: Chittagong Medical College (CHMEC) mortuary two employees were killed in two fights over a trivial incident.
He died on Monday (November 6) around 2 pm while undergoing treatment at Chamek Hospital.
The deceased Md. Elias (47), was working as an office assistant in the morgue.
Panchlaish Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Santosh Kumar Chakma told BanglaNews that another employee of the morgue named Sameeran Kanti Nath has been detained in this incident.
Accused Simeran is a morgue cleaner.
According to Chamek and related sources, on Sunday (November 5) around five o’clock in the afternoon in front of Chamek Morgue, two people had an argument over a trivial incident. At one point Sameeran pushed the victim Ilyas. Elias suffered a serious head injury. He was rescued and admitted to Chamek Hospital. He was operated on there at night. Elias died on Monday (November 6) afternoon while undergoing treatment at Ward 28 of Chamek Hospital.
OC Santosh Kumar Chakma told BanglaNews that a patient died after being injured in a fight between two employees at Chamek’s morgue. Accused employee Sameer Kanti Das has been arrested. Legal action is under process in this incident.
