Jamaat protest procession in different places of the capital

Resignation of the government, establishment of caretaker government system, release of all prisoners and activists including Amir Shafiqur Rahman of the party and increase of daily commodities announced in protest. On the second day of the 48-hour blockade, protests took place in various areas of the capitalJamaat-e-Islami also picketed.

On Monday morning, the leaders and activists of Dhaka Metropolis Dakshin Jamaat staged a protest march by blocking the railway and roads at Azimpur Bus Stand, Jurain Railway Gate, Demra, Shahjahanpur, Basabo and Hazaribagh.

Dhaka Metropolitan South Majlis Shura members Shamiul Islam, Matiur Rahman, Saiful Alam, Abdul Malek and others were present in the protest march at Azimpur bus stand.

Dhaka Metropolitan North Jamaat held a protest march in Mirpur. The procession started from in front of the Education Department, went around various roads of the city and ended with a rally in front of Janata Housing. Shura member Mohammad Abu Naqeeb, Advocate Abdul Hamid, Habibullah Rumi, Abdur Rakib and Rimon Tamal, student leaders Asaduzzaman and Tanveer were present in the Northern Majlis.

Meanwhile, the leaders and activists of the party are also protesting in Uttara, Dakshinkhan, Pallabi, Badda and Malibagh areas of the capital.
