Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina visited Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
He participated in the prayer after the Holy Prophet’s Rawza Ziarat in the evening local time on Sunday. At that time, his sister Sheikh Rehana was also present there.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is visiting Saudi Arabia to attend an international conference on women in Islam in Jeddah. At the beginning of the trip, he went to Madinah to visit the Holy Prophet. The Prime Minister also offered Asr and Maghrib prayers at the Prophet’s Mosque.
Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left for Saudi Arabia on a commercial flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines on Sunday. The plane carrying him landed at the Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah.
Upon arrival at the airport, the Deputy Governor of Medina met the Prime Minister after the state welcome. Ibrahim Al Ghamidi. Bangabandhu’s youngest daughter Sheikh Rehana and Ambassador of Bangladesh to Saudi Arabia Mohammad Javed Patwari were also present at this time.
Sheikh Hasina will go to Jeddah from Medina on Sunday night. Later go to Makkah by road. There, the Prime Minister will perform Umrah and pray in the Haram Mosque.
The International Conference on Women’s Affairs will be held in Jeddah on November 6-8. It is being organized in coordination with the headquarters of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
On the second day of the visit (November 6), the Prime Minister will attend the opening ceremony of the ‘Women in Islam’ exhibition at the Jeddah Hilton at 6 pm. He will also address the event.
Sheikh Hasina will leave Jeddah for Mecca on November 7 where she will offer prayers at Al Masjidul Haram (Kaaba Sharif).
In the evening, the Prime Minister will leave Makkah for his homeland. A Biman Bangladesh Airlines commercial flight carrying the Prime Minister will depart King Abdulaziz International Airport at 10:45 pm local time.
