Under the leadership of the current government, unprecedented progress has been made in the education sector: Expatriate Welfare Minister
Sylhet, November 6, 2023 (BSS): Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Employment Minister Imran Ahmad has commented that the overall development across the country has been unprecedented in the education sector under the leadership of the current government.
The minister addressed the chief guest at the thanksgiving meeting of Haji Sohrab Ali School and College Branch of Goainghat Upazila of Sylhet on Monday.
The minister said that education is the prerequisite for the development and progress of the nation. Good citizens with honest, patriotic and humanitarian values are created through education. The government is working to build Sonar Bangla, the dream of the father of the nation, achieve sustainable development goals by 2030, implement Vision 2041 and meet the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution.
Mentioning that the teachers-parents also have the responsibility to raise the quality of education in the country to the world standard, he said, we have to destroy the present for future generations. We are determined to build a developed, prosperous and smart Bangladesh by 2041. Emphasizing on making the students proficient in information technology through the new curriculum, the minister said, for that purpose, the teachers are being trained on the new curriculum. Education is one of the tools to face the challenges of 21st century.
At the time, the minister also said that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of the father of the nation, is developing the communication system across the country, because the improved communication system helps to accelerate industrialization and increase trade and commerce.
The president of Haji Sohrab Ali School and College, Principal Fazlul Haque, presided over and teacher Shahjahan Siraj spoke at the thanksgiving meeting, Goainghat Upazila Parishad Chairman Md. Farooq Ahmad, upazila executive officer. Tahmilur Rahman, former chairman of East Jaflong Union Parishad and founder of Haji Sohrab Ali School and College Lutfur Rahman Lebu, chairman of East Jaflong Union Parishad Rafiqul Islam and principal of Haji Sohrab Ali School and College Sarwarardi.
