Annual General Meeting of Bangladesh Agricultural University Alumni Association of Australia (BAUAAA) was held. The meeting was held at the Glenfield Community Center in Sydney on Sunday (November 5).
The program begins with recitation from the Holy Quran and reading of the Gita. In the first phase of the annual general meeting outgoing president Dr. Under the chairmanship of Anorul Bakshi and outgoing general secretary. Conducted by Abdul Wares Babul, a minute’s silence was observed for all the martyrs of Bangladesh.
The outgoing general secretary presented the financial report along with various activities of the organization in the last two years. The present members gave a speech on various directions for the future progress of their organization. Members of the organization from other states outside of Sydney participated in the virtual platform and gave constructive feedback.
The outgoing general secretary and outgoing president thanked all the members of the past committee, including the members who came from far and wide and participated through virtual means, for their unwavering support and overall cooperation. Then the outgoing president announced the end of the first phase, the returning officer for the election of the new committee. He handed over the responsibility to Rafiqul Islam.
Since not more than one candidate applied for the same post to the Returning Officer as per the pre-announced time, he declared all the candidates as winners. In the selected committee for the year 2023-25. Abdul Wares Babul president and Dr. A total of 21 people including general secretary Asaduzzaman Salim were appointed in various positions.

Abul Kalam Azad, Treasurer, Mehrun Nesa Sultana Organizing Secretary, Dr. Latif Siddiqui (Litton) Publication Editor, Md. Safayet Kabir Chowdhury Rubel. Cultural Secretary, Rabeya Akhter along with Cultural Secretary, Wahid Ahmed Sports Editor, Dr. Rumana Yasmin along with Sports Editor and the members are, Dr. Anorul Bakshi, Abdul Jalil, Dr. Ratan Kundu, Paramesh Chandra Bhattacharya, Abul Sarkar, Lovely Rahman, Khandaka Malik Shafi Zaki, Newton Muhuri (Debu) and Dr. Mohammad Nazimuddin.
Finally, everyone is treated to lunch, desserts and soft drinks. Bakribi’s many reminiscences of the expatriate life ended this meeting.
