Bogra District Women’s Dal General Secretary Nazma Akhtar has been arrested in a sabotage case. Members of RAB-12 Bogra Company arrested him in front of Government Mujibur Rahman Mahila College in Subil area of the city on Friday afternoon.
Nazma Akhtar appeared in LLB final year examination from that college center.
RAB Company Commander Superintendent of Police Mir Monir Hossain gave this information. He said that Nazma Akhtar is the general secretary of the district women’s party. He is a resident of Gokul area of Bogra Sadar. Najma Akhtar is accused in the case of arson and explosives in a covered van and truck in Baghopara area. The police filed two separate cases at the Sadar police station on November 1 and 2 as plaintiffs. He was arrested around 3 pm on Friday in front of the Government Mujibur Rahman Women’s College in Subil area of the city. Later he was handed over to Sadar police station.
Bogra Sadar Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Shahinuzzaman Shaheen said that Nazma Akhtar has been sent to Bogra Jail through the court.
Bogra District BNP General Secretary Ali Azgar Talukdar Hena said that arresting someone after leaving the examination center is a farce. A false case has been filed against him for political vendetta.
