Two cases have been registered at the Kotwali police station of the metropolitan police in connection with the clash between the Chhatra Dal and Shibir during the strike called by the Juba Dal in Sylhet. On Thursday (November 3), Chhatra League leader Emon Ahmed filed one case as plaintiff and Kotwali police station SI Kallol as plaintiff in another case.

Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner of Police Azbahar Ali Sheikh said that the police is continuing the operation to arrest the accused in the case. In the BCL leader’s case, 14 named and 50-55 unidentified people have been accused, and 170-180 unidentified people have been named as defendants in the case filed by the police.

In the Chhatra League leader’s case, the named accused of Ezahar are- Sylhet Mahanagar Chhatra Dal President Sudip Jyoti, General Secretary Fazle Rabbi Ahsan, District Chhatra Dal General Secretary Delwar Hossain Dinar, District Volunteers Party convener Abdul Ahad Khan Jamal and Member Secretary Shakeel Morshed, former Member Secretary of Metropolitan BNP Mifta Siddiqui. , district BNP member Mahbubul Haque Chowdhury, metropolitan BNP joint convener Afchar Khan, BNP Mominul Haque, former Chhatra Dal leader Maqsud Ahmad. Fakhrul Islam, Abdur Rahman, Oliur Rahman and Zainal Abedin of Jamaat-Shibir.

Apart from this, the accused accused in the case filed by the police are – General Secretary of Metropolitan Chhatra Dal, Fazle Rabbi Ahsan, General Secretary of District Chhatra Dal, Delwar Hossain Dinar, Chhatra Dal leader Abdus Salam Titu, Ubayed, Oliur Rahman Jhunu, former Chhatra Dal leader Arafat Chowdhury Zaki, Tarek, Shakil Murshed, Jamaat. -Afzal Ahmed, Sujat Ahmed, Raihan, Abib, Nashir and Shibbir Ahmed of Shibir.

In this regard, General Secretary of Sylhet District Chhatra Dal, Delwar Hossain Dinar said, “We will not back down from the demand of people’s rights. The police force of the government is harassing our leaders and activists in the name of arrests and cases one after another. Along with the police, the leaders and activists of Chhatra League-Youth League are also going from house to house threatening and harassing. We will continue to fight all legal cases.
