Sirajganj: On the last day of the 72-hour blockade called by BNP, the police arrested 3 teenagers in connection with picketing in Sirajganj for picking up road carpeting with shawls, vandalizing auto-rickshaws, exploding cocktails, abusing the police and stealing money from an NGO worker.
These incidents took place on Thursday (November 2) at Telkupi Kartala intersection of Khoksabari Union on Sirajganj-Rayganj regional road.
The police arrested the three teenagers in a raid that night. The arrested are Hriday Sheikh, son of Hannan Sheikh of Sayagobind Mohalla, Anik Hasan Joy, son of Shamim Reza and Sharif Sheikh, son of Lovelu Sheikh of the same Mohalla.

He said that at around 11:30 am on Thursday, BNP leaders and activists were picketing with domestic weapons at the Karitala intersection of Sirajganj-Raiganj regional road. They detonated cocktails and chanted anti-government slogans and hurled obscenities at the police and pulled up street carpeting with shovels. At that time, they vandalized a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw and beat up an NGO worker and robbed him of Tk 4,800 and a mobile phone.
He also said that after receiving the information, the police reached the spot and recovered two cocktails. In this incident, on Thursday night, 23 people were named and 40/45 unidentified people were against BNP leaders and activists
