An allegation has been made against duty sergeant Biswajit for dumping a Maxima car three times in 8 days at Alankar intersection in Chittagong city.
Constable Shaheen of the traffic police arrested the car on the way to Dewanhat from the City Gate of the city on Friday morning.
Yusuf, the driver of that car, complained that his car was towed and dumped three times in the last eight days. The car was sent to dumping on October 26, October 30 and today. When I protested, Constable Shaheen hit me on the chest.
He said, all the documents of my car are fine.
Many who travel on this road complain that even though all the documents of the car are updated, they are being harassed by sergeant and traffic police if they do not pay the monthly masohara to TI Amalendu of Alankar police box. Nazrul, the owner of the towed Maxima Ch.M.F.11-1723, said that TI Amalendur Tendle Liton took four hundred taka on October 26. After not paying more money, despite having car documents, driver’s license, road permit number 10, they are repeatedly harassing me. I am financially and emotionally devastated.
In this regard, TI Amalendu Tendle Liton said, I work with TI Amalendu sir in the office. I tried not to take money. But the sergeant didn’t stop talking. Later I apologized to Nazrul, the owner of the car while returning four hundred rupees.
Accused traffic sergeant Biswajit said that the car came from the city gate and u-turned on the road. So it has been sent to dumping.
However, locals say that there is no need to U-turn on the way to Dewanhat from City Gate to Alankar Left.
Later, however, Sergeant Biswajit said, not the Utern, the driver’s behavior was not good.
On the question whether the tour can be done if the documents are updated, he said, there is no lack of law.
Alankar Traffic Police Box TI Amalendu called him repeatedly on his cell phone but he did not answer the phone.
