Metrorail will be launched from Uttara North to Motijheel the next day. But in the beginning only four hours will run on this route. And three stations will be open. Time and station will be increased gradually.

Managing Director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited MAN Chiddik confirmed this information at the Metrorail office in Pravasi Kalyan Bhaban in the capital on Wednesday.

He said, ‘Metrorail movement will be closed on November 4 for the inauguration. It will reopen from November 5. On the day of the inauguration, the Prime Minister will inaugurate a train and take the next train to Motijheel. MRT Northern Route will be inaugurated there. At the same time, unveil the plaque of MRT 5.’

MAN Chiddik said, except for Friday, metro trains will run from Motijheel to Uttara Uttara from 7.30 am to 11.30 am every day from Sunday, November 5. On the Motijheel to Agargaon section, metro trains will stop only at Motijheel, Bangladesh Secretariat and Farmgate Metrorail stations. And it will continue for 10 minutes. Train movement will be stopped on Motijheel-Agargaon section from 11.30 am onwards.

He said, however, the timings and other aspects of the metro train from Agargaon to Uttara North will remain unchanged from 11.30 am to 8.30 pm.
