Dhaka: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the Agargaon to Motijheel section of the metro rail on November 4.
MN Siddique, Managing Director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) gave this information in the meeting room of Metrorail at Pravasi Kalyan Bhavan in the capital on Wednesday (October 1).
Metrorail from Agargaon to Motijheel will be inaugurated on November 4. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate at 2.30 pm that day.
Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited Managing Director MAN Chiddik confirmed this information at the Metrorail office in Pravasi Kalyan Bhawan in the capital on Wednesday (November 1).
He said, for the inauguration on the 4th, the metro rail movement will be closed on that day. It will resume from the 5th. On the day of the inauguration, the Prime Minister will inaugurate a train and take the next train to Motijheel. MRT Northern Route will be inaugurated there. At the same time, unveil the plaque of MRT 5.
He also said that from the next day, the metro rail from Uttara North to Motijheel will run only for four hours on this route. And there will be three stations open. Time and station will be increased gradually.
MAN Siddique said, apart from Friday, metro trains will run from Motijheel to Uttara Uttara from 7:30 am to 11:30 am every day from Sunday, November 5. On the Motijheel to Agargaon section, metro trains will stop only at Motijheel, Bangladesh Secretariat and Farmgate Metrorail stations. And it will continue for 10 minutes. Train movement from Motijheel to Agargaon section will be stopped from 11:30 am onwards.
