UGC delegation visits CIU

Chittagong: Chittagong Independent University (CIUR) was visited by members of the University Grants Commission (UGCRI).

On Sunday (September 17) morning, Director of Private University Division of UGC. A 3-member delegation headed by Omar Farooq visited the Jamal Khan CIU campus in Nagar.

This time they inquired about the educational activities of the entire campus on the ground. Later held a meeting with the Vice-Chancellor, Dean and Registrar of the University.

The other two members of the delegation are senior assistant director of UGC’s private university division. Shariful Islam and Shahnaz Sultana.

At this time, they expressed hope that CIU will take a step forward for the sake of maintaining quality education.

CIU Vice-Chancellor Dr. Mahfuzul Haque Chowdhury welcomed the members of the delegation. He said that his institution is conducting higher education programs according to UGC rules.

The meeting was also attended by the Dean-Professor of the four schools of CIU. Syed Manjur Quader, Dr. Mohammad Rezaul Karim, Associate Professor Dr. Shah Ahmed and Nazneen Akhtar, Registrar Anjuman Banu Lima, Controller of Examination Sarkar Kamrul Mamun, Acting Director of Finance and Accounts Branch Abu Naeem Md. Jasim, Senior Assistant Librarian Sabina Sultana etc.
