Entezar Ferdauch, district entomologist of Chittagong Civil Surgeon’s Office, said that a 55-year-old Balram Das died while undergoing treatment at the private Evercare Hospital on Monday morning. He was suffering from various complex diseases. Balaram was admitted to the hospital on September 9. He is a resident of Sadarghat area of ​​the city. Earlier, a 77-year-old man named Chittaranjan Pal died in the same hospital on Friday night. He was also suffering from various complex diseases. The man was admitted to the hospital on September 5. His address is Cox’s Bazar.

According to the report in the Civil Surgeon’s office, 147 people have been admitted to different hospitals due to dengue in the last 24 hours. Among the victims, 71 have been admitted to government and 76 private hospitals. With this, 7 thousand 967 dengue patients have been identified in Chittagong this year. 356 of them are under treatment in different hospitals. The rest have recovered. Besides, 15 people have died in the last 17 days of this September. Out of the 68 people who have died so far, 19 are men, 25 are women and 24 are children and adolescents.
