Police stand by the elderly Vishwanath-Nityabala couple who lost their cow in Bogra. On Monday, Superintendent of Police Sudeep Kumar Chakraborty went to Mandaldhar village in Sadar and handed over cash, clothes and food items to them. At this time, the Superintendent of Police promised to make efforts to rescue the cow.

He said that after the news about the theft incident was published, the couple was given a gift by the police. A case has been filed in the police station. Several teams of police and detectives are working to recover the cows and arrest the members of the thief gang.

The victim Vishwanath Sarkar said, ‘I can’t even imagine that such a big babu will come to my house. Police cooperated from the beginning. My family is grateful to them. They promised to rescue the cow. For the time being, I will be able to eat and live with my family because of the cooperation.’

Miscreants stole the 10-month pregnant cow by cutting the door of the house when Vishwanath Sarkar and Nityabala were sleeping on the night of August 31. Biswanath (75) and Nityabala Sarkar (66) are residents of Paschim Mandaldhar village of Rajapur Union in Sadar. They used to provide a large part of the household expenses by selling the cow’s milk and calves.
