RAB arrested a drug dealer named Rashed (40) with 12 thousand 300 pieces of yaba from Kalurghat bridge area near Chandgaon police station of Chittagong city. He was arrested around 3:30 pm on Thursday (May 25).

Arrested Rashed is the son of deceased Abdul Hamid of Habibur Para village of Patia municipality area of ​​Chittagong. Instead of going to the city via Shah Amanat bridge on the Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway, Rashed was smuggling Yaba to the city via Boalkhali via Kalurghat bridge. RAB-7 gave this information in a press release sent to the media on Friday (May 26) around 12 noon.

RAB also informed that a check post was set up in the Kalurghat bridge area and the vehicle was searched on the news that a drug dealer was coming to Chittagong city via Kalurghat Bridge via Microbus from Patia. At one point the suspicious microbus was seen coming towards the check post and when signaled to stop, the microbus tried to run away without stopping. At that time, the drug dealer micro driver Rashed was arrested. Meanwhile, 12 thousand 300 pieces of yaba were recovered from the bag. RAB also seized the microbus used for drug smuggling.
