23 buildings of 19 raw markets of Dhaka North and South City Corporation have been declared dangerous long ago.

In the meantime, sales are going on. The stench is so strong that after entering the market, one has to take a bath after coming back, the clothes become dirty.

A buyer said, “If you go to the fish market after taking a bath, you have to come back and take a bath, it’s dirty.” It is the responsibility of the city corporation to see it, but no one sees it.

Another customer said, “The environment is polluted, the bathroom is far away, so the vendors urinate on the street.”

Another customer said, “Tax is taken properly but there is no one to see it.”

There is blood on the floor of kitchen markets. Traders are selling products in it. The councilors also want to restore the poor condition of the raw markets of the city corporation. But it is getting disrupted due to various reasons.

A councilor said, “We are working to ensure that those who do not lose their business and the buyers can do the market in a healthy environment.”

Buyers complain that they are getting sick in such an environment of the market. While buying products, they bring disease-germs home.
