Due to Kalbaisakhi storm, there was a fault in the power line in Sirajganj, the connection was cut off

Due to Kalboishakhi storm on Thursday night in Sirajganj town, there was an outage in Nesco’s power line. Outages occurred at several places in three feeders, including the main two lines in the district town. Because of this, the residents of the city are in trouble because the electricity connection is off at night. The repair work of the power line started at night. Although two main lines and three feeder (branch lines) of the city could be opened till 10:30 am on Friday, the repair work has not been completed. Electricity connection is still not restored in many parts of the city.

Asit Poddar, Executive Engineer of Electricity Supply and Distribution Division-2 of NESCO in Sirajganj said that the two main lines were switched on in the morning after being closed since night. A feeder has yet to be launched. Complaints from customers will start pouring in after all are launched. Then basically it will be understood where in which part any customer has been affected.

The flow of electricity is being interrupted. Hopefully, it will be possible to repair the outage on the line by Friday.

Abdus Samad, the owner of Haji Zulmat Manzil of Goshala in the city, said that there is no electricity in my building since last night. In the morning, due to repeated up-down of electricity, I have stopped the connection due to the fear of burning the pre-paid meter and the fridge. Nesco people are not coming to repair the line despite repeated complaints since morning.

The two executive engineers of NESCO said that after the main line feeder is launched in the city, the complaints of the customers will be settled in stages. You have to be patient for that.
