That too in just two weeks. Statistics say that so far the box office collection of this movie in the country is Tk 200 crore. And the total income worldwide is 365 crores. On the other hand, ‘The Kashmir Files’ grossed Rs 340 crore. In other words, ‘Brahmastra’ took the first place among the hit movies of 2022. Director Vivek Agnihotri opened up about the box office collection of the two movies. His clear answer, this kind of competition is stupid!
Vivek tweeted. In this context, the director wrote, ‘I don’t know how that film pushed ‘The Kashmir Files’ back. Stick, rod, hockey stick… or AK47 or stone? With what? Or with the money of the influential? Either way. Let Bollywood films compete with each other. leave me alone I’m not in that stupid race.’
After the release of ‘Brahmastra’, Kangana Ranaut had accused of manipulating the box office collection. Vivek’s voice had a tone of complaint like Kangana. On the other hand, ‘The Kashmir Files’ gained huge popularity due to which many states like Haryana, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Karnataka, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand made the film tax free. Politicians also participated in the campaign.
