Movie ‘Kajalrekha’ starring Shariful Raj and Mandira Chakraborty has been released in theaters on Eid-ul-Fitr. Based on Mymensingh lyricist Kajalrekha, the movie is made by director Gias Uddin Salim based on a 400 year old story. Raj-Mandira has paired up for the first time through this movie. Where Mandira played the role of Kajalrekha, Mithila played the role of Kankan Dasi and Shariful Raj played the role of Such Kumar. The audience is liking their different chemistry in the film. On the experience of working with Raj, Mandira said, “I would have been a queen of some kind at that time.” It was nice to get Queen’s treats from everyone. And then maybe I would be married to a king. But yes, I definitely made the king my king at that time. Because for now Kajalrekha Raj is my king.
Mandira said that she first met Raj in Giyasuddin Selim’s office. That day, Raj compared her to Telugu actress Rashmika Mandana. Which he likes very much. On the other hand, Shariful Raj said, one of the funny things about working with Salim Bhai is that he took everyone’s audition but he did not take any of my auditions.
