Photo: Courtesy of the organizersThe venue of the concert organized in Dhaka to protest the genocide in Palestine and show solidarity with the oppressed people has been changed. Although this concert was supposed to be held at the central ground of Dhaka University, the organizers said that it is not happening there anymore. Instead, the concert will be held on November 24 at Hatirjheel’s Amphitheater stage.
A group of young musicians from Dhaka have taken the initiative to organize this event under the banner of ‘Artist Against Genocide’. One of the organizers of the concert, musician Ahmed Hasan Sani told Ajker Patrika, “To Gaza from Dhaka” concert changed venue Hatirjheel Amphitheater. But the concert will be on November 24 as usual. Tickets are available on Get Set Rock’s website.

Musician Ahmed Hasan Sani, cartoonist Morshed Mishu and art director Ranjan Rabbani are the spokespersons of this platform named ‘Artist Against Genocide Front’.
Incidentally, Maqsood and Dhaka, Ark, Avoid Rafa, Nemesis, Indalo, Meghdal, Sahajia, Carnival, Highway, Hatirpool Sessions, Feroze Jung, Marubhoomi, Moonflower are taking part in the concert.

The ticket price is fixed at 500 rupees. If someone wants to help more money, the organizers have also made arrangements for that. Alongside the concert, cartoonist Morshed Mishu has been painting protest graffiti on the walls of Dhaka city against the genocide in Gaza. Meanwhile, artist Morshed Mishu has painted graffiti in different areas of Dhaka city including Ibrahimpur, Bhashantek, Mirpur 14, Indoor Stadium, Mirpur on the theme of ‘Artist Against Genocide to Gaza from Dhaka’.
