South Korean K-pop star Kyuhyun was stabbed by a woman. Last Sunday around 6pm local time, the woman entered the dressing room of a theater in Seoul and stabbed him. The accused woman has been arrested by the police. BBC news.
Kyuhyun is a member of the boy band Super Junior. According to local media reports, Kyuhyun was meeting with his co-stars when the woman attacked him. While fending off the attack, one of his fingers was cut off.
Police are investigating where the arrested 30-year-old woman got the weapon used in the attack and whether she has a history of mental illness.
The woman is reportedly not related to Kyuhyun or any of the other actors present.
Quoting the 35-year-old pop star’s agency, Antenna Music, South Korea’s national daily Jungang Daily reported that Kyuhyun’s finger was amputated by the woman. He was treated immediately.
The actor-singer joined Super Junior, one of the country’s most popular boy bands, in 2006. Since then he has established himself as a ‘musical actor’.
