A month and a half ago, legendary musician and filmmaker Anjan Dutt of West Bengal graced the stage of Dhaka. This legend is taking a flight to Dhaka again to keep the charm. He will participate in the ‘Dhaka International Film Festival’ to be held in January.
The 22nd edition of this festival will start from January 20. Talented people from different countries are being invited around this international event. One of them is Anjan Dutta. He will be seen in two roles in the festival. First, he will take a masterclass. Which will be moderated by Bangladeshi film critic Bidhan Riberu.
Then there is the desired music episode. Yes, Anjan will stand on the Dhaka stage again with sunglasses on his eyes and guitar on his shoulder. And listen to all his famous songs. The news was confirmed by the festival authorities through an intranet message. According to the message, Anjan Dutt’s episode will start on January 27 at 5 PM. That will last two and a half hours; That is, by 7:30. This episode will be held at Bangmata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Auditorium of Bangladesh National Museum.
Earlier, the Dhaka Festival Authority made another shocking announcement. They said that the famous Iranian producer Majid Majidi will come to take the masterclass in this event. Who is famous for making films like ‘Children of Heaven’, ‘Muhammad’, ‘The Father’, ‘Color of Paradise’.
It should be noted that this ‘Dhaka International Film Festival’ is the country’s largest film event. It is being held regularly since 1992. Rainbow Film Society is organizing the festival with the slogan ‘Aesthetic Films, Mindful Audience, Enlightened Society’. About 250 films from 75 countries are said to be participating in the upcoming 22nd edition.
