As the controversy over a ‘deepfake’ video photo of Rashmika Mandana continues, another top Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif’s similar photo has gone viral on social media. As a result, the demand to take action against fake or fake photos has become more vocal.
In a scene from the upcoming Tiger-3 film, Katrina Kaif performed an action scene wrapped in a towel. That picture has been changed with the help of technology. She is seen wearing a crop top and matching bottoms instead of a towel. Which is done with the help of AI technology.
This scene was originally seen in the trailer of Tiger 3. Where Katrina Kaif was seen fighting with another woman in a towel. Katrina also posted the picture on her Instagram. But apart from editing that photo, Katrina’s clothes have also been edited.
As a result, the film is presented in an obscene manner. However, the image was deleted from social media within hours. However, the screenshot of the film has already spread online, which has made Katrina fans very angry. They are strongly criticizing this deepfake picture.
The trend of spreading fake pictures and videos by using artificial intelligence or AI is gradually increasing. ‘Deepfake’ is basically a technique by which someone’s photo or video is edited in such a way that it becomes difficult to tell the difference between the original and the fake.
In this situation, the Government of India has sent messages on social media platforms. What are the punishments for ‘deepfake’ videos, said the Ministry of Information Technology. It is clear that anyone who tries to misuse the communication medium by using computer resources, or betrays a person, can be jailed for up to three years and fined up to one lakh rupees.
