Superstar Shakib Khan’s movie ‘Priyatma’ got a lot of response in Bangladesh, but it failed in other Bengal. The movie went to India with Zahid Haasan Abhi but it is not able to benefit due to lack of promotion.
Priyatma was released in West Bengal, Assam and Tripura on Friday (November 3). Although released in 40 halls of West Bengal, only five halls are running now. Although this beloved movie has not seen the face of success yet.
A show is going on at Helabattala Lali Cinema Hall in Barasat, North 24 Parganas. Manager Gautam Dey said that the good movie is not attracting audience due to lack of promotion. Durga Puja has gone before Kali Puja. People are busy moving around.
He also said, ‘Those who are coming to the hall are looking for when Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 will come. They have no interest in their beloved. Now is the era of publicity. If there is no campaign, it will be difficult to get shows in the coming days.’
He also said, ‘It should be noted that it should not be classed with big movies. Tiger 3 is ahead, followed by Shahrukh Khan’s Dunki, then Dev’s Pradhan. At this time, Bangladeshi cinema will not do well. If there is wide publicity, the audience will come to see the movie.’
Only three shows of Priyatma are running at Mahamaya cinema hall in Baruipur area of South 24 Parganas district. The audience was also not noticeable.
Shakib Khan’s heroine in Priyatama directed by Himel Ashraf is Kolkata’s Idhika Pal. The movie was released last Eid and did good business in Bangladesh. Has been successful in USA, Australia. People also watched in OTT. But in West Bengal there is no such thing as a sweetheart.
Priyatama will run in the halls of West Bengal till November 11. Priyatama may release on November 10 in some multiplexes in Kolkata. Tiger 3 will be released during Diwali.
