Congratulations for getting the National Film Award for Best Vocalist. Now tell me, did you ever think that you can get recognition for the song ‘A Mon Vije Jaye’ from the movie ‘Operation Sundarban’?
When creating or singing a song, there is always one question in front – will the song move the heart of the listener? There is no additional demand beyond this. The same idea worked with the song ‘A Mon Vije Jaye’ from the movie ‘Operation Sundarban’. When composer Amlan Biswas played the song, it felt like it would leave an impression on many.
Are you organizing a new song in addition to the stage show?
I started working on Dalchut’s ‘Sanjeev’ album a long time ago. But I could not finish the work due to various busyness. Now busy with the unfinished works of the album. The intention is to release the album early next year.
Besides listening to music online, many people love to collect albums. Thinking of something for them?
Thinking of making a CD of Dalchut’s new album for album collectors. At the same time, the band members are planning to make lyric books, posters, t-shirts and other things as souvenirs.
Started working on the second season of the ‘Beautiful Voices’ music project?
Three songs from the first season are yet to be released. After the release of these songs, I will start working on ‘Beautiful Voices-2’. The songs of the second season will be recorded with artists whose voices I love very much.
Appears to be more engaged in music management than playback. Have you started working as a music director in a new film?
I am directing the music in director Masud Hasan Ujjal’s film ‘Banlata Sen’. The background music of this film is currently being worked on.
As a music director always gives priority to experimental work, what is the reason for this?
