Give the list, Siliguri: CCTV cameras were installed in maternity homes to strengthen security during Corona. At present, all the five CCTV cameras in the medical center are out of order. And theft often happens with this opportunity. Intoxicated people are also entering the rooms of the mother’s house. But the miscreants cannot be identified ‘courtesy’ of faulty CCTV cameras. The security of this medical center in Ward No. 23 of Siliguri Purnigam is in question.

Cases of theft are often coming to the fore in Matrasdan. An office assistant’s bicycle was stolen while at work on Friday afternoon. The office assistant Tinku Halder gave a written complaint to the Siliguri Police Station on Saturday. He complained, ‘The CCTVs of the medical center have been broken for about five months. It is difficult to identify the thief because the CCTV is broken.’ Not only bicycles, it is known that the corona virus testing kiosks inside medical centers are sometimes stolen. Sometimes it’s a medical thing.

Hundreds of patients from different areas visit the city’s medical center every day. There is an obstetrics department in Matrasdan. Around a hundred pregnant women are seen every day. As the CCTV cameras are broken, there are also questions about their security. Not only thieves, sometimes drug addicts also enter the medical center. Recently an intoxicated man entered a room in the medical center. When a patient saw him and screamed, people came and threw the man out of the clinic.

When the doctor came to the hospital, Milli Sarkar complained, ‘There is an important department like obstetrics here. Why is there security in the medical center? CCTV cameras should be fixed with speedy measures.’ Antara Roy, mother of one of the patients, said that they are in panic as the CCTV cameras are not working properly. What happens when?

Not only this, the patient’s relatives also demanded to increase the number of security guards in the medical center. It is known that currently there are only two security guards in the medical center. When asked about this, Mayor Parishad Dulal Dutt of the health department of Siliguri Purnigam said, ‘I know that there is often theft. But I did not know that CCTV cameras are useless. I will see tomorrow and take action.’
