The corona epidemic has not ended long. In the meantime, a group of world’s leading scientists have expressed concern about the next epidemic. Epidemic outbreaks may occur again in the near future. And this pandemic will come from the influenza virus. Recently, scientists have warned that the next epidemic may be caused by flu. Influenza is the most feared.

An international research paper will be published on this subject next week. According to the published paper, 57 percent of senior pathologists believe that one strain of the flu virus is likely to cause the next outbreak.

British media The Guardian said this in a report on Saturday (April 20).

The Guardian says that the scientists’ research will be published next week. In this, 57 percent of the world’s leading scientists think that the next pandemic may be caused by influenza.

The study was conducted by John Salmanatone-Garcia of the University of Cologne. He said, this research has been done for a long time. Most scientists believe that the world’s largest pandemic could be caused by influenza or similar diseases. It can be worse than corona. Based on long-term research, it is constantly evolving and changing.

Garcia also said that influenza comes back every winter. It can be called a minor epidemic. There is no control over this virus. Because it appears in new strains every season. For this it is not possible to eliminate.

Data for this study was taken from 187 senior scientists. It will be published at the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases conference in Barcelona next week.

21 percent of the experts who took part in the study think that a virus could be the next pandemic after influenza. Which is named as Disease X. However, scientists still do not know much about this. They believe the next pandemic will be caused by a yet-to-be-identified microorganism. Just like what happened during the covid virus.

For some experts, the corona pandemic is still a threat. According to 15 percent of the experts who participated in the study, new epidemics may come in the near future because of Corona. In addition, 1 to 2 percent of experts believe that the deadly Lassa, Nipah, Ebola and Zika viruses may threaten the world.

The World Health Organization (WHO) issued a warning about influenza in mid-April. At that time, the global organization said that the outbreak of H5N1 strain of influenza is increasing. Millions of animals are infected with this virus every year. Since 2020, its prevalence has increased and millions of poultry chickens have died. Apart from this, millions of wild birds have also died due to this virus. Recently domestic animals are also affected by this virus.

100 years ago, the world saw the horrors of the Spanish flu. Recently, a virus named Corona emerged as an epidemic. About 70 lakhs died. Last year, UK scientists warned about another new virus. In the meantime, the World Health Organization (WHO) has said that the name of this new disease is X. It can be caused by a virus, bacteria or fungus.

The British media Daily Mail recently published a report on this. Kate Bingham, the former head of the UK’s vaccine task force, was interviewed. He said that this new disease will create a worse situation than the corona epidemic.

There are still many viruses in the world. Scientists have identified 25 virus ‘families’. Each of these contains thousands of different types of viruses. These viruses can pass from one species to another. As a result, any virus can cause an epidemic at any time.
