Review of the movie Brahmastra Part One: Shiva. Sangbad Pratidin

Vishwadeep De: Fire extinguisher. When it touches life, life becomes virtue. What if a fatherless young man, who lived his life as a DJ in the crowd, suddenly discovers that he has the power of a Parashmani, which can make a flower of light appear in the body of darkness? This is what we had to know before going to see the much awaited film ‘Brahmastra Part One: Shiva’. Ashaishav Shiva (Ranbir Kapoor) knew fire could not touch him. He lives with this secret truth. But suddenly the signal started floating inside his head. He realizes that a big change is coming in his life. Unseen events and unknown people crowd the consciousness. And from here the story begins to weave its own way.

Brahmastra is known at the very beginning of the film. It is known, about some other weapons like fire weapon, water weapon. But it goes without saying that Brahmastra is the best of all weapons. This weapon mentioned in Hinduism is the most powerful weapon in the universe. This weapon is frequently mentioned in Ramayana, Mahabharata, Puranas. Prajapati Brahma himself is the creator of this weapon. Who has the power to control the entire creation. Director Ayan Mukherjee has placed that weapon in the nucleus of this film.

Ranbir-Alia’s chemistry is mesmerizing

Brahmastra is divided into three parts. If you can put those three pieces together, you can achieve the impossible. Recovering those pieces is the mission of Junoon (Mouni Roy), the empress of darkness. But he is not the master of the dark world at all. It means satellite. Who sent him is secret. who is he What does he want to do with Brahmastra? As the film progresses, the mystery is revealed gradually.

Bollywood has tried to make fantasy films of this tribe before. But almost none of the attempts were successful. ‘Brahmastra’ can cover that failure. Hinduism has become a huge factor in today’s India. Durga Puja, Kali Puja atmosphere has come in this film of Ayan. And of course there is the quest for Brahmastra. All this is in perfect harmony with the concept of traditional India.

The story of the film revolves around Ranveer

The main mood of the film is familiar to all of us. That fight of light and darkness. You will remember ‘Star Wars’, even ‘Harry Potter’. And there is the Marvel Universe. Not just mood. The application of highly developed VFX will remind the world of Ironman, Spiderman. But finally there is a clear difference. Those kinds of films have love, but this film also has bouncy songs. Among them ‘Kesaria’ is already a big hit. No matter how fanciful, ‘Kaanu Binne Geet Nai’, similarly ‘Geet Bine’ Bollywood is unthinkable. At the moment, the debate surrounding the demand to boycott Bollywood is raging on social media. It goes without saying that making a film at the cost of 410 crore rupees in such a situation is very risky. However, it cannot be said that the director only wanted to ensure the film’s sales by inserting love scenes or songs. Shiva’s relationship with Isha (Aliya) is also highlighted by Ayan as an important factor in the main story of the film.

Aamir’s ‘Lal Singh Chadha’ was recently seen falling. Time will tell what is in store for Brahmastra. However, seeing Shahrukh Khan’s much-awaited cameo almost at the beginning of the film shows the excitement of the audience, but the expectations are there. Similarly seeing Nagarjuna and Amitabh applauding morning show audience, City is promising enough. However, there are fears. Ayan, the director of films like ‘Wake Up Seed’ and ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’, ended up disappointing while weaving the story of this film. But the treatment covers up the story’s shortcomings. As I said earlier, the eye-catching spectacle of the VFX is sure to impress.

Amitabh Bachchan has done his best in the role of Guru but the screenplay has not given him much scope. This film is actually a trilogy. So Amitabh may be given more space in the next episode. But his role in the first episode is limited. On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor has naturally been given the most importance as the hero. But he could not make full use of it. Shiva’s emotional conflict could have been explored a little deeper. Especially from an actor like him, we expect more.

But he is excellent in the romance scenes with Alia. The chemistry between the two is one of the USP of this film. Alia Bhatt’s eyes can’t be turned away. She is beautiful in all scenes. Ranveer also shines in the same way. At the end of the film there is an announcement of the next episode. The episode is called ‘Dev’. The film also hints at where the story might go. But that’s a long shot at the moment. It remains to be seen whether Shiva Agun can show Bollywood a new direction by fighting the boycott trend. But there is a possibility.
