The incident of deepfake video in Bollywood has now become a cause of panic. Recently, after Aamir Khan, a ‘deepfake’ video of Ranveer Singh also went viral on social media.
Ranveer also posted on social media to warn his fans about the fake video. A complaint has been filed with the police on behalf of the actor’s team.

On Monday, Ranveer’s spokesperson said that a complaint has been filed with the Mumbai Police’s cyber crime branch against the social media page where the actor’s ‘deepfake’ video was being circulated.
In the fake video, the ‘Eighty Three’ actor is seen voicing his views against a particular political party. In fact, the actor recently attended a fashion show by fashion designer Manish Malhotra in Varanasi.
Ranveer shared his fashion show experience in front of the media. His part was used in the fake video. Ranveer’s voice is imitated with the help of artificial intelligence (AI). As Ranveer’s fake video went viral, the actor wrote on his X handle, ‘Friends, stay away from deepfakes.’
Recently a deepfake video of Aamir Khan went viral. After the video came to notice, Aamir’s team filed a complaint with the Cyber Crime Branch of the Mumbai Police. Such incidents are often happening thanks to artificial intelligence.
Earlier Katrina Kaif, Rashmika Mandana’s distorted pictures went viral on social media. It is practically evident that in the election situation, Aamir Khan and Ranveer Singh’s deepfake videos are being used for political propaganda.
