Two popular Bengali actors Ferdous Ahmed and actress Rituparna Sengupta have gone to New York to participate in the Suchitra Sen International Film Festival. Dhakai movie actress Moushumi was already staying there.

The two-day Suchitra Sen International Film Festival was held on April 20 and 21 at the Jamaica Performing Arts Center in New York. A total of 39 films from India and Bangladesh were screened in this festival.

Three showbiz friends — Ferdous, actress Moushumi and Rituparna Sengupta from Kolkata — spent time together at the festival. Mousumi was already in the US to spend time with his family. Then he took part in the festival holding Ferdous’s hand. Where Rituparna was present as a well-wisher. They enjoyed the moment when the three friends met.

Ferdous’s movies ‘Mike’ and ‘1971 Sesab Din’ were screened at the festival. Moushumi had already known the news of Ferdous’ participation. So Moushumi invited him to his Long Island home. The hero received the hospitality of the heroine last Saturday evening.

The two friends spent a great evening eating seasonal homemade food. Sharing that photo on Facebook, Ferdous wrote, ‘Mosumi is my dearest person and very close. After many days meeting with that man. I can’t describe what I liked, what a wonderful time I had. Moushumi cooked with her own hands. …. How many words, how many questions, how much interest in this new life (Member of Parliament)! I got into the car and looked back far away, he was looking at me ignoring the severe cold. These relationships are unbreakable, these bonds are strong, these memories are indelible.’

Ferdous said about the festival, ‘For the first time, the organizers are 100% successful. The participation of everyone in this two-day festival was remarkable. It seems that this festival can be held on a larger scale in the future.’
